Effective from 14 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we process when you use the Magic Bernese Kennel website (https://www.bernipasztor.hu), for what purpose and on what legal basis, for how long, to whom we transfer it, and what rights you have. Data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on the Right to Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information (Infotv.).

2. Visitor statistics
We measure website traffic with our own statistics system running on the website’s server. We do not use any external analytics service (e.g. Google Analytics), and we neither use the data for advertising nor sell it.
- Data processed
- IP address; the town (city) determined from the IP address; the title and URL of the page viewed; the referring page (where you came from, e.g. a search engine); browser type and version, operating system, device type (desktop / tablet / mobile); the time of the visit; time spent on the page and scroll depth; which parts of the page you viewed; the position of clicks on the page (anonymously, for the click heatmap); the fact of clicking on links to the phone number, email address or social media pages; page loading speed and any loading / software errors; a random, anonymous browser identifier (see section 3) that allows us to distinguish new and returning visitors. As the website is available in several languages, we also record which language version the visitor viewed, which language their browser is set to, and whether they switched languages.
- Purpose
- Understanding and improving the use of the website (which pages visitors are interested in, where they come from, what devices they use) and detecting errors.
- Legal basis
- The legitimate interest of the data controller (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention period
- 1 year. Visit data older than 1 year is deleted automatically.
- Data processor / recipient
- The data is stored on the server of our hosting provider (section 6). To estimate the city, the IP address is sent to the ip-api.com service (operated by Artia International S.R.L., Bld. Decebal 28, Bucharest, Romania). According to the provider’s own information, it keeps the IP address in memory for no more than 1 minute and does not log it.
3. Cookies
The website sets only one cookie for visitors, and only if you choose a language in the header: nyelv (for 1 year; it remembers that every page of the website should be shown in the chosen language). It is necessary for the function you requested and contains no personal data. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Apart from this, a cookie is used only by the website’s administration interface for the session of logged-in editors (PHPSESSID, until the browser is closed); this does not affect visitors.
For visitor statistics, we store a random, anonymous identifier in the browser’s own storage (localStorage / sessionStorage): mb_latogato (persistent, to distinguish new and returning visitors), mb_munkamenet and mb_forras (until the browser tab is closed: to link the pages viewed during a single visit and to recognise campaign links). These contain no personal data, are not passed on to third parties, and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings (by clearing the site data).
For the short animation drawing attention to the language selector, we also record in the browser’s storage how many times it has been shown (mb_nyelv_figyelem, persistent; it is shown at most during the first 3 visits) and whether it has already been shown during the current visit (mb_nyelv_figyelem_most, until the browser tab is closed).
On the Contact page, Google Maps is loaded only if you click the “Show map” button; Google (Google Ireland Ltd.) may then set its own cookies and receives your IP address.
4. Contacting us
There is no contact form on the website. If you contact us by email, phone, Messenger, WhatsApp or iMessage (e.g. an enquiry about a puppy or the waiting list), we process the data you provide (name, contact details, content of the message) in order to answer your enquiry and keep in touch.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) or, if you purchase a puppy, steps prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Retention period
- Until the end of our contact; in the case of a purchase, for the period required by accounting and contractual obligations.
